Sustainability is everyone’s responsibility to make informed decisions to have a less harmful impact on our Earth. We focus on making the best possible products that we can to enrich lives in our communities and we are constantly looking for ways to improve.

Wax and Wicks

We use natural vegetable soy wax which is made from environmentally friendly, renewable resources, that burns cleaner and longer than paraffin wax. Our wicks are made from unbleached cotton interwoven with a linen thread, long lasting and they keep the soot at a minimum.

Fragrances

All candles and wax melts are individually hand poured in small batches and come in two collections, a natural collection made exclusively with 100% natural essential oil blends and a classic collection made with premium fragrance oil blends, all vegan friendly, cruelty free and paraben and phthalate free. The reed diffusers are made with a non-toxic, eco-friendly base and premium fragrance oil blends. We take pride in the quality of our products at By the Danube and do regular tests to ensure we are offering the best home fragrance products that are safe and smell great.

Packaging

All our packaging is either recyclable or biodegradable. We use eco-friendly fully biodegradable and 100% compostable void filling made from corn starch. Your orders are packed using eco-friendly kraft packing paper, cardboard wrap roll, paper backed sealing tape and biodegradable glassine bags. We repurpose any incoming boxes and packaging wherever possible and avoid using plastic.

Vessels

Our glass apothecary style jars and bottles can be recycled or repurposed in the comfort of your own home as storage for cosmetics, jewellery, plants.
